A Day At The Beach

Ain't it funny when you got the kind of money
And the technicolored scarves that'll make you fall
Into the soft sand, it was grand, the beaches were nice
But I got in too many fights with the tourists
Grabbed a sandwich with some sand in it
I fell into the ice cubes of my father's dreams
My mother said she wouldn't trade her money for bed
Or a good night's sleep
Ain't it funny when you got the kind of money that'll make you just run away
To a better place with some better friends and an ice cold drink
In the summertime my heart sinks, I fall into a different kind of being
Somewhere in Mars, somewhere in Mars, I fly off into the sun
My father built a helicopter for us to get away
My father built a helicopter for us to get away
Ain't it funny when you got the kind of money that'll make run away
I'm hanging, I'm hanging from my guitar
I'm hanging from the stars that were dangling from Mars that were singing to the Sun
I fell into a hole, a big black hole, it got so dark
I didn't mind, no I didn't mind, it was quiet all the time
My father built a helicopter for us to get away
My father built a helicopter for us to get away
Ain't it funny when you got the kind of money that'll make run away
What a day, what a day
Oh, what a day, a day at the beach
